Weatherseal Installs Community Faith With £10k Bursary

One of the UK’s leading home improvement companies, Weatherseal is encouraging charities and community groups in Scotland to make use of a £10,000 bursary.
Back in July, Weatherseal launched their Real Good, Feel Good bursary in association with Real Radio. With a £5,000 local community bursary on offer to help community groups and charities, the success of the scheme has prompted the double glazing and conservatory specialist to throw another £5,000 into the pot.
Weatherseal’s ‘Window of Opportunity Bursary’ is once again inviting applications from local charities and community groups. Whether you’re a sports team desperately in need of a new kit, or a youth group who could benefit from a much-needed fun day out, Weatherseal wants to hear from you.
To date, through the bursary, Weatherseal has helped eight community groups. Lucky recipients included a community centre playgroup who needed to buy new furniture and a local football team in need of a new strip. They also awarded £1,000 to a disabled action group and donated £500 to the Stobhill Kidney Patient Association, who help families affected by kidney failure.
“As an organisation, we are committed to the local communities that we work in and following the great success of our bursary with Real Radio we saw that there was an appetite for a similar scheme to run across Scotland,” said Tony Reilly, managing director of Weatherseal.
“With this in mind, we decided to launch the ‘Weatherseal Window of Opportunity Bursary’.”
Any local charity or community group can apply for a grant. All you need to do is send an e-mail to bursary@weatherseal.co.uk stating your cause. The deadline to be awarded a slice of the £5,000 bursary is 30 November 2011, so get your entry in now.
